Chloe Elizabeth

I was watching Oprah the other day, and there was a story about a little girl who was about 4 or 5, and she had cancer. She had to go get treatment (chemo) everyday at the hospital, and she hated it. Her hair started falling out, and she cried that she didn't want to get pricked with needles anymore. It was very hard to watch this, because of course all I could do was imagine it was Chloe going through something like that. I just cried and cried. I started to think about all the things I love about her, and I made a huge, long list in my journal. Here are some of the things I wrote down:

I love...

*the way she smiles at me every time I walk into the room
*the way I can always make her laugh
*the way she reaches for me when I come to pick her up
*that her feet are so fat I can't find any shoes that fit her
*when she only wants me to hold her when she wakes up from her naps
*when she smiles at me when I tell her 'no'
*that she loves the water - bathtubs and swimming pools
*she loves it when you say 'Bless you!' after she sneezes
*sitting next to her and playing on the floor sometimes just isn't enough - she has to sit in my lap
*the way she plays with her hair and her ears when she drinks her bottle
*the way she smacks her lips when she tastes something new
*the way she lays her head on my shoulder when she's tired
*her chubby thighs
*that she loves back scratches
*waking up in the morning and listening to her babble and squeal in her crib
*the way she always wants what I'm eating
*the way she's attached to her daddy on the weekends
*when I leave the room she crawls around until she finds me
*that she loves ice cream
*when she poses for the camera
*when she's sitting on my lap and she looks up at me with her big beautiful blue eyes and smiles at me

I love my little girl so much. She makes me so happy, and I'm so blessed to be able to stay home with her every day. I don't know what I would do if I ever lost her. She's my angel.

Utah or Texas???

Were these pictures taken during our vacation in Utah, or at home in Texas. The answer is...TEXAS! Twice this week it has snowed like crazy. On Thursday it snowed from 12:00 pm until about 6:00 pm. We got over 5 inches of snow! Michael's office sent him home around 1:00, because that's what Dallas does at times like this...the whole city shuts down. All the snow turned to slush and ice overnight. So, of course this morning there were about 10 accidents on the freeway Michael takes to work. It took him an hour and a half to get to his office downtown. We think the bad weather is all behind us now.

High Chair

Grandma Kate bought Chloe a high chair. She loves it.

Goodbye Bumbo!

Chloe has graduated from her bumbo chair. She no longer needs it in the big bathtub. If she is ever cranky we can always throw her in the tub. She loves her baths! Don't you love the hair?

Cute Girl

Chloe is getting bigger and bigger. We decided to skip the 9 month clothes and go even bigger so they will last longer. :) Here are a few pictures I snapped while I played dress-up with her new clothes.
